Ingredients
For the Ham:
- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 7-10 pounds)
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
For the Cranberry Sauce:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- Zest of one orange
How to Make ?
Prepare the Ham: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) + Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern. Place the ham in a roasting pan with a rack.
Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Heat over low heat, stirring, until smooth.
Glaze the Ham: Brush the glaze generously over the ham, covering all exposed surfaces. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake according to the weight (about 15-18 minutes per pound).
Prepare the Cranberry Sauce: While the ham bakes, combine cranberries, orange juice, sugar, ginger, and orange zest in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens (10-15 minutes).
Finish the Ham: During the last 30 minutes of baking, remove the foil and brush on more glaze. Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) to caramelize the glaze.
Serve: Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. Serve with the cranberry sauce on the side.
